BOOKVOOK.COM shall give services to its customers on the basis of “Terms & Conditions” put below. By accepting to use our services you agree to the rules and terms and conditions as applicable to the same. We request you to kindly go through the same prior to using our services.

ABOUT US

We at bookvook are involved in sale as well rental of books and imported magazines (Magazines are for sale and subscription only and not for rental.).

ACCEPTANCE

Once our Terms & Conditions” are accepted during the registration process the user agrees to abide by the same and be legally bound to the same. BOOKVOOK reserves the right, to change these Terms of Use, with or without notice. The most recent version of these Terms of Use cancels all previous versions and is available for viewing on the "Terms & Condition” link.

MEMBERSHIP

On becoming our member for rental service you are liable to pay the rental fees as per your plan selected.

BILLING

The customer shall be billed as per the chosen billing cycle along with the sales tax/ octori etc if applicable. We will automatically bill you each month on the calendar day corresponding to the commencement of your membership. In the event your membership began on a day not contained in a given month, we will bill your Payment Method on the last day of such month. In the event your membership began on a day not contained in a given month, we will bill your Payment Method on the last day of such month. For example, if you became a paying member on January 31st, your Payment Method would next be billed on February 28th. All fees and charges are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods. In case you want to change your bill plan you the option to do the same in My Account section, and we shall comply with the same from your next due date.

CANCELLATION

You may cancel your subscription to Bookvook at any time, and cancellation will be effective immediately. WE DO NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR ANY PARTIAL-MONTH SUBSCRIPTION PERIODS OR UNREAD BOOK(S). Please send us an email with Canel and your membership id and we shall do the same. Upon cancellation, you will be given 5 days to return any outstanding rentals. Failure to return such rentals will result in your Payment Method being billed for such items. BOOKVOOK reserves the right to terminate your membership for any or no reason. Disclaimers of Warranties and Limitations on Liability

FOR LIBRARY

The membership can be cancelled at any time as per request from the customer. In the event of a cancellation to fully take effect the books held by the customer have to be returned by the user with 6 days, failing to do so will attract the charge of full cost of the books to be charged to you. There are no refunds on cancellation happening in partial month. The refund will be Vide cheque. O request cancellation you can simply send us a message at cancel@bookvook.com with your registration number. In case the Value of the book is equal to the Membership value then the number of books sent at a time can change from the 

 DAMAGED BOOK

Our books are sent and returned in a BOOKVOOK protective bag. If a book is returned damaged as a result of subscriber misuse, we will charge you the cost of each damaged book. However, if it is determined that a book was damaged during transit, there will be no charge. Once the book is received by you please check the same immediately and inform the executive delivering the book for any damage. Failure to check the condition of the book shall be deemed as book delivered in good condition.

The estimate of damage done is sole discretion of BOOKVOOK to calculate. The refundable security deposit charged to you will be deducted in case of damage and you will have to deposit the amount deducted to keep the Security deposit at the acceptable level.

SHIPPING

Our books have shipping time mentioned on the book store as well as rental service and the days mentioned are “WORKING DAYS “ WHICH EXCLUDES SUNDAYS AND ALL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.

 We also reserve the right to allocate or ship books among our subscribers in any manner that we, in our sole and absolute discretion, determine. In addition, we will, in our sole and absolute discretion, determine the quantity of books we purchase for any particular title and the level of staffing and number of shipments to be processed at each distribution centre. As a result, we may not always send you the top choices from your queue, and we may not ship out your next book(s) on the same day that we receive one from you. At present, our goal is to ship you the book(s) listed highest in your queue. Often, on the same day that we receive a book(s) from you, we will ship the next available book(s) from your queue. In certain instances, your next available book(s) will not ship until at least one business day following our receipt of your returned book(s).

As mentioned above we wish to deliver the books as mentioned on the book page however in case due to some unforeseen circumstances if there is delay then BOOKVOOK does not take the responsibility to that. The book in that case will be delivered as soon as possible.

RENEWAL

For our online rental service the subscription will be automatically renewed on the due date.

RETURN

BOOKVOOK reserves the right to request return of any and all book(s) in the possession of Members at any time. Members understand and agree to promptly return any book(s) upon request, and that failure to do so within seven days of the request makes Members liable for the cost of those book(s) plus 50% of that cost as a handling charge, for which we reserves the right to charge the Member's refundable security deposit.

COPYRIGHT

All content included on the BOOKVOOK Website and delivered to subscribers as part of the service, including book(s), text, graphics, logos, designs, photographs, button icons, images, are the property of BOOKVOOK, or its suppliers and is protected by the Indian and international copyright laws. The compilation of all content on this site is the exclusive property of BOOKVOOK and protected by the Indian and international copyright laws. Content shall not be reproduced or used without express written permission from BOOKVOOK or its suppliers.

You agree not to decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble any software or other products or processes accessible through the BOOKVOOK Website, not to insert any code or product or manipulate the content of the BOOKVOOK Website in any way that affects the user's experience, and not to use any data mining, data gathering or extraction method. BOOKVOOK reserves the right to terminate your membership hereunder if BOOKVOOK in its sole and absolute discretion, believes that you are in violation of this paragraph, such violations including the photo copying of book(s) rented to you by us or the copying or other unauthorized use of our proprietary content. BOOKVOOK does not promote, foster or condone the photocopying of book(s) or any other infringing activity. The use of book(s) rented to you by us is solely for your personal and non-commercial use. Please see the instructions at the end of these Terms of Use for notifying us of the presence of any allegedly infringing content on the BOOKVOOK Website.

BOOKVOOK.COM AND OUR LOGO and all page headers, custom graphics and button icons are service marks, trademarks, and/or trade dress of BOOKVOOK. All other trademarks, product names and company names or logos cited herein are the property of their respective owners.

SITE USE

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old or visiting the Site under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, BOOKVOOK  hereby grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable and non-exclusive license to access and use the Site by displaying it on your internet browser only for the purpose of shopping and renting for personal items shown on the Site and not for any commercial use or use on behalf of any third party, except as explicitly permitted by BOOKVOOK in advance. ERRORS

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing or product information received from our suppliers, BOOKVOOK shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. BOOKVOOK shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, BOOKVOOK shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge.
